Macabre Monday: The Dark Series

These images, are from the small collection "The Dark Series", by photographer Anton Babushkin. I love the spooky symbolism, the hints to Wednesday Addams in her peter pan collar dress, and the subtle humour of the goats mask in the last picture. 

I have a guilty pleasure in all things spooky, dark and at the same beautiful and sometimes quirky! which, given my fixation with furry animals, bright colours and floral prints, seems a little strange to some! 

This is an obsession I have had since I was a wee tot when I first saw Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas. From the moment Jack Skeleton beamed his spooky smile at me,  I fell in love with the macabre. I thought I would share this love with you when the mood strikes me on what I'd like to coin Macabre Monday's!
